Sherpa means "easterner" because we came from the
Kham in eastern Tibet. For 600 years, people have migrated from Tibet to these
mountain valleys in Nepal. There was a time of great unrest in Tibet when many
lamas, their families and followers left their homes looking for new places to
live. They settled in the mountain valleys of northern Nepal. These
places came to be called Yolmo (Helambu), Langtang, and Khumbu.

ग्यल्लो" भन्दै सेतो सम्पा अकासमा छर्की उक्त पूजा गरेको हो। क्याब्ज्ये
नक्टा रिन्पोछेको उपास्थितीमा किदुगले यो कार्यक्रम गरेको हो। यसै क्रममा

Recently We successfully celebrated our Lhosar program, part of our history and culture, on the 18th & 19th of February, year 2010, at Samden Memorial School in Kapan.
